For over a decade, Zipwake has been a key player in advancing interceptor trim technology. With over 50,000 units sold globally, the Zipwake system has proven to be one of the most efficient and reliable solutions in the market.

To celebrate its 10th anniversary, Zipwake is introducing the IT400–E Round R1000 model, which features a unique, rounded design to complement the market’s widest standardized range. This provides customers with 25 designs to choose from, enabling them to tailor the product to their specific transom or hull design.

The curved bottom and blade of the IT400–E Round interceptor allow it to be mounted closer to the edge of rounded hulls, making it more efficient and considerably faster for the required extension to be accurately controlled. The rounded interceptor can be combined with any other Zipwake interceptor to provide the perfect solution, regardless of hull design.

Zipwake was launched in 2014, but the story behind the interceptor technology dates back 20 years earlier. Niclas Olofsson, the founder of Zipwake, came up with an unorthodox solution to the performance problems of 30-meter monohull ferries while visiting a shipyard in Freemantle. His idea was to weld a fixed interceptor blade across the ship’s beam – and the idea of a dynamic interceptor was born.

Today, Zipwake has distributors in 34 countries, serving customers on every continent while offering the market’s widest range of interceptor designs. ” We have a great product, and we continue our ambition to be the industry-leading manufacturer and innovator of dynamic trim control systems,” says Jörgen Holmgren, CEO of Zipwake AB.
